Instructor: Mychael Shannon
Mychael is a swimmer, a runner, a cyclist, and an awesome personal trainer. He has completed numerous triathelons and is on course to take the title of Iron Man. His background includes Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Medical School. He has over 8 years of experience and holds two personal training certificates through NASM and Future Fit. His dedication to fitness could only be matched by his ability to keep steadfast on the ground.

I've been attending BootCamp 'Morning Crunch' with Mychael in MDR for a year and a half now and I absolutely love it! I used to belong to a gym and I would end up doing the same routine(s) but seldom saw any results and, truth be told, it was boring. Exercising is hard enough - Why not make it fun? In Boot Camp you're outside and not plugged in to anIPOD. You meet new people and work out in a group setting. You support one another and it's okay if you are all at different fitness levels, because you're allowed to go at your own pace. This is a full body workout that mixes cardio and resistance (strength) training. Mychael always makes it challenging and mixes it up so you feel you're working EVERYTHING! He encourages everyone to do what they can and modifies an exercise if you are having difficulty or nursing an old/new injury. He is extremely knowledgeable and always tries to help with nutritional advice (just as important as working out!) Dulcie, who runs BootCamp 'Morning Crunch' is absolutely fabulous. My balance, stamina, and overall fitness level has really improved -- and I look and feel much better. Thank you Mychael and BootCamp 'Morning Crunch'!

A quick start for your first bootcamp experience:

  • Be on time. Class will start without you to make sure all bootcampers get a full workout
  • Bring a bottle of water, you will work up a sweat! Oh, and bring a towel.
  • If you must have a mat to lay on while doing floor excercises, consider bringing your own mat. We carry only a limited number.
  • After you have purchased your workout package one of us will be in touch via phone or email to go over the basics and get you on the right track.
